Developing Workplace Skills Plans (WSP)

A Workplace Skills Plan is a strategic document that outlines an organization’s training objectives for a given period—typically a year. It details the interventions that will bridge identified skill gaps and supports proper resource allocation. This plan not only drives the learning strategy forward but can also be essential for compliance with statutory skills development obligations.

Completing Annual Training Report (ATR) Submissions

The ATR, or Annual Training Report, is a formal submission evidencing the training initiatives undertaken within the organization. It demonstrates how the interventions address the skill gaps, supporting claims for any applicable incentives or meeting regulatory requirements. Together with the WSP, it forms a complete picture of the organization’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Accredited Assessment Centres

To ensure accessibility and convenience for all candidates, KPI maintains strategically located assessment centres in South Africa’s major economic hubs: Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. These state-of-the-art facilities are fully equipped to facilitate a wide range of examinations, including the critical External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISAs).  Our commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity in assessments is paramount. All KPI assessment centres operate in strict compliance with the regulations set forth by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). This adherence ensures that all EISA examinations conducted at our centres are recognized, valid, and contribute effectively to the overall quality assurance framework of occupational qualifications in South Africa. Our rigorous internal processes further guarantee the security and fairness of all assessments administered.

Conducting Skills Audits and Analysis

This step involves a systematic review of current employee capabilities. By evaluating existing skills against job-specific requirements, KPI identifies competency gaps. Having a clear picture of what skills are present—and crucially, which are lacking—lets organizations pinpoint where training is most needed.

Researching and Aligning Training Requirements

Once the gaps are identified, KPI ensures that the training needs for each position are not arbitrarily defined. They are rigorously aligned with registered Unit Standards and Qualifications. These standards, established by recognized industry bodies, ensure that the training is relevant, contemporary, and meets regulatory as well as industry benchmarks.
